LBA keyboard came about because of the desire of the Serie A Basketball League to offer to basketball fans an additional way for sharing their passion for sport.
The Keyboard Sticker and the iMessage app have been designed with the aim of generating greater user engagement within their preferred messaging applications, combining the traditional emoji with stickers that express LBA emotions.
In a first step we analyzed the fragmentation of use by the users of the messaging applications, defining thus the need to develop two complementary applications that leave the user the possibility to share emotions related to their favorite sport with anyone and on different apps.
Working closely with the Lega Basket Serie A team we decided to develop:
Then we studied what were the most important moments to be represented in the stickers set for those who live the basketball passion, with the aim to realize a Keyboard and an iMessage app that offer to fans a new way to interact and live the most exciting moments of a match or a championship.
We take advantage of the new potentialities born with iOS10 to integrate the stickers inside the Apple messaging app. In fact iMessage allows, in addition to the classic sending, to paste the stickers at will within the conversation, increasing interactivity and engagement.
To satisfy the user's needs we have exported the stickers also outside of the Apple app, creating a keyboard that would allow the use and sending of stickers in the most used messaging applications.
